One of Rutherglen’s most contemporary winemakers, Rowly's vision is to grow and produce premium wines that are modern, dynamic and unbound by tradition. His winemaking style reflects the way we eat and socialise in modern Australia, with an elegance inspired by France and good food.

Sustainability underpins every decision Rowly makes as a vigneron, from biological management of the soil ecosystems in the vineyard to the use of solar power and rainwater to run the winery and cellar door.

A modern approach for Rutherglen. Inspired by his great-great-great-grandfather and one of Australia’s pioneering vignerons, George Francis Morris, self-taught winemaker Rowly Millhinch is weaving his own winemaking narrative. Scion offers a contemporary spin on local stars like Durif and Muscat, handpicked and handmade in small batches. Sustainability underpins every decision Rowly makes as a vigneron, while the solar-powered cellar door and winery blend the simplicity of the old ways with a thoroughly modern vision.
